St Vincent and the Grenadines officially reopened its borders for travel on July 1, 2020.
To ensure the safety of travelers and residents, there are extremely clear entry requirements in place. For travel through July 31 or Phase 1 of the reopening, travelers must have a negative PCR COVID-19 test result done within 5 days prior to arrival or will have a PCR COVID-19 test done on arrival. If tested on arrival, a mandatory quarantine of at least 24 hours will be required as you await your PCR test results. You must also be sure to complete the VINCY COVID-19 health questionnaire form.
Passengers arriving by air will be quarantined for at least 24 hours to await the PCR test results of ALL passengers from the same flight.
During Phase 2 (August 1 and onward), travelers must still be sure to complete the health questionnaire form. Testing from high risk countries will be required. The local authorities will determine what countries are deemed high risk. Persons arriving from CARICOM and low risk countries will not be tested. CARICOM includes: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. Travelers arriving from these countries who have been there for a full 14 days prior to travel to St Vincent and the Grenadines will not have to undergo testing and quarantine upon arrival.
Travelers undergoing the PCR COVID-19 test upon arrival will be issued a court order for at least a 24-hour quarantine in their hotel or rental home until the test results are available. There is an exemption to quarantine if you bring a negative antibody test that was taken within 5 days of arrival or a negative PCR test taken within 2 days of arrival. Still, ALL travelers who arrive by air may be quarantined for at least 24 hours to await the PCR test results of all passengers for the same flight.
